CREDIT CARDS

TAXIS accept the major Credit Cards - Visa, Amex, Diners Club and Mastercard. We also accept Visa or Mastercard endorsed Debit Cards.

We do not accept account cards such as Cabcharge, and at this stage cannot accept Bank eftpos debit cards which do not carry a Visa or Mastercard Logo.

On all these cards we have an 8.49% surcharge including GST. Your payment screen and your receipt / tax invoice shows the GST and the net charge is 7.556%. By comparison , all other taxi payment systems charge 10% before GST, so that on credit cards you are actually paying 11%.

On your initial registration you will need to record at least one credit card as the means of payment in addition to the "cash" default, and TAXIS will make a $5 transaction to validate that card. That $5 will be deducted from the first fare transaction :: our committment is "No Fees".

You can record as many different card options as you want, so that for different purpose journeys you have different payment records. You can also nominate differing cost centres. The one "username" and "password" will apply to all cards and accounts, and will keep separation of private cards and work cards.

Since only you, as the registered user have access to your unique user name and password, and only a transaction in relation to a taxi trip, with a registered taxi driver in a registered taxi, can be initiated; and, since the funds can only go to the account of that driver, it's a secure system. Unlike the "blue dockets" which are essentially a blank cheque, the funds cannot be sold down the line from cabbie to cabbie to gas station or convenience store.

Your credit card providor's monthly statement will show that was a taxi trip, and on the date it ocurred. Depending on their systems they have actual times and locations, and TAXIS has an even more detailed back-up of driver detail and your web log of the whole transaction when the trip is from your job offer. As a street hail we also have the transaction records, if you pay by credit card.

Additionally, you can check all the data and details from a job enquiry in "Reports", from your PC you can create a print out at any time, for any reason. Plus, of course there is an e-mail record of the receipt / tax invoice sent as nominated to you, or to you and your accounts department, as a standard procedure for every credit transaction.

If anything, it's overkill ; but it's up to you, the user, to select what you want, and immediately. Our objective is to eliminate the objections you have with the current dominant payment process.
