DRIVER PAYMENTS

The total value of fares, including all extras, tips and tolls paid through TAXIS will be paid into the Taxi Driver's Eftpos EMerchants account, plus 20% of the relevant surcharge, at the end of each shiftt.

The total value of fares, including all extras, tips and tolls paid through Credit Cards will be paid into the Taxi Driver's Eftpos EMerchants account, plus 20% of the relevant surcharge, each week on Thursday morning after midnight. Commissions for Driver or Passenger referals will be paid weekly.

The cut-off is midnight on the Sunday night, and fares after that time will be included in the following week. Visa, Amex, Mastercard and Diners all require a few days to clear funds.

If a driver requires payment before the Thursday morning, he can arrange a transfer by phone or e-mail and all cleared funds, or the amount requested will be transferred immediately, but without the additional 20%.

TAXIS will assist drivers by opening an Eftpos Account with EMerchants. Funds from TAXIS to Driver will then be an immediate transfer, and withdrawals or transactions from any ATM or over the internet cost twenty cents. Using that card to pay taxi related expenses will be a great way to establish tax deductions. The costs of e-tags is a major item and one that's hard to keep up to date. LPG fuel is an average $10,000 a year claimable deduction .. etc ..etc

No, it's not like the blue dockets on which we actually lose money, or a swiped credit card which most of us treat like cash - until they bounce - and on which we make a small percentage. It's not like e-tickets on which we make nothing. And it's not like any of the other eftpos devices which don't give you either tips or jobs.

This is a system designed by taxi drivers for taxi drivers, and it pays commission, prompts for tips, and provides jobs. The only complete system !!!!

You pay 50% of the "radio Fee" from each accepted job. The passenger pays 8.49% or 5% and you get 20 %of the surcharge..

Any internet 3G mobile works, and we have a Virgin data plan for as little as $5 a month.

However : to use the TAXIS system you have to be a member of the Australian Taxi Drivers Association.

At the moment, membership is free, with the sponsership of TAXIS, but you can always make a contribution to the cause.
