TAXIS has teamed up with E Merchants to provide extra services to both passengers and drivers.
Passengers and Corporate Passengers who accept the offer to set up an EMerchants Stored Value Account and place a deposit in the Authorised Deposit Institution can then use that account as a payment method with a 5% Transaction Fee. Because it is an on-line transaction, we can pass the fare payment directly to the driver.
The taxi driver also has an EMerchants Stored Value Account into which the fares are paid. His Account is a little different as it also comes with an EFTPOS card which he can use to withdraw or transfer funds at the end of his shift.
