Taxis is all about giving you a better service.

Currently, you hang on the end of a phone, trying to get through to an operator, or yelling at the Voice Recognition. You make a booking and hope that the taxi will turn up. Sometimes you get a "call on approach", quite often you get told that the cab has been and gone. Frequently the eftpos " isn't working", so you risk "clic-clac" fraud. Too often the bill, when it eventually turns up, isn't quite the amount you remember signing for, but isn't worth the hassle of a query.

Taxis puts an end to all that.

We do need quite a bit of information from you to register and make use of the system. Your credit card details go directly to a bank-approved secure server, and TAXIS or the taxi driver never sights or accesses any detail. You enter your "favourites" and your taxi "preferences", and even your "driver of choice" and then your job offer is a 15 second click or screen tap. Do it on the PC and its done forever. Create your own user name on-line and password with a confirming e-mail.

The future with Taxis is that with a few keystrokes you make a job offer for when you want the taxi; you get on-line confirmation of the taxi, the driver, his mobile and the ETA. You get an on-line advice of the "taxi waiting", and you can pay the fare at any time during or at the end of the trip, with any of your chosen cards, or even cash. You get an e-mail receipt fopr all credit card transactions.

You do all of this from your own 3G mobile smartphone, blackberry or I Phone. You enter the fare and maybe a tip. Both you and the driver get confirmation of payment.
