PRIVACY POLICY

Taxis is committed to maintain the privacy of all participants to its system and recognizes the differing requirements of drivers, passengers and corporate administration.

There is simply no provision in the system to obtain access to the credit card details of passengers. Not even the passenger himself, taxi drivers or Taxis, or the corporate user cannot sight the full details after secure registration.

The details of favourite pick-ups and destinations, and the records of previous taxi trips are only accessible with the valid username and password for that passenger. It's easy to change a password. No one can change the username.

By necessity, the driver will be given your pick-up details for a job, and that may mean your 'home' address. It will also show your name, or the 'name' given by you as the proposed passenger. Your mobile or landline will not be available unless you actively provide it to your 'driver of choice'. You will have the taxi driver's mobile number to enable contact on an active job, and on the five most recent jobs.

Once the job has been picked up, your personal details drop off the drivers' screen.

The use of any and all information is restricted to specific taxi related usage. No information or data relating to individuals will be available to any private external body, and only aggregated data will be supplied to the appropriate Ministries of Transport.

Where required by law, and in respect of the safety of passengers or drivers, information will be made available to authorised public institutions to the extent required. To a lesser extent information may be supplied to a credit provider to establish proof of travel.

Reports will be available in respect of the authorised user's activities, and details will not include restricted personal information of either passenger or driver. If action is required to verify a transaction, that action shall be limited to the specific purpose.

We advise that taxi security cameras may record images and audio of passengers and events, and that these images may be used as evidence in the prosecution or defense of an offense or crime.

The personal information sought by Taxis is to facilitate the integrity and efficiency of the system and to facilitate the passenger's use of the system.
