Stored Value Accounts
Taxis is all about giving you a better service. So we have also created a Stored Value Account on which the surcharge is reduced to 5%. This service is available to all TAXIS users and can be added to your list of Payment Options at inital registration or at any time later.
Use you own money to save money.
Use your Bank Account as the source of funds to top-up your TAXIS account.
By having funds in a Stored Value Account in an "Authorised Deposit Institution", approved by APRA we are able to reduce the costs of the transaction, and also make an immediate transfer to the Driver's account.
While you will need, in effect, to pre-pay your expected taxi usage, the savings of 50% plus on the current surcharge rates is worth the investment. For a single registered taxi user, or a Corporate with less than ten users we request that $200 be deposited for each nominated TAXIS user, with a top-up trigger at a low balance of $50 on each user
For more than 10 users the minimum initial load and re-load is $1000 with a trigger of $500
For more than 50 users the minimum initial load and re-load is $5000 with a trigger of $1000
For more than 100 users the minimum initial load and re-load is $10000 with a trigger of $2500
We will advise you or the nominated corporate administrator when the trigger point is reached, and in the near future will have an automatic Direct Debit facility. As a back-up we do reserve the option of accessing another of your nominated cards such that the fare can always be paid to the taxi driver, if the balance is too low to pay for a trip. In that case the 8.49% surcharge will apply, but your valued staff member will have no problems.
When you register with TAXIS, either as an individual passenger, or as Corporate or Government Department user, a minimal portion of the information provided will generate an appliction to EMerchants Limited, a registered Financial Services Providor, who will then approach you to set up a TAXIS Stored Value Account.
TAXIS will remain at arms's length and at no stage do we have access to your confidential financial information, or to the monies deposited.
