General Terms & Conditions
1) By registering with and/or accessing any of the services offered by Transport Australia Xpress Integrated Systems Pty. Ltd. (henceforth referred to as 'TAXIS'), whether through the www.taxis.net.au portal or by any other means, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2) Any persons registering with TAXIS and/or accessing TAXIS services, whether through the www.taxis.net.au portal by means of entering their Username and Password, or by any other means, shall be henceforth referred to within these Terms & conditions as the 'Registered User', irrespective of whether said access has been for the purpose of their own taxi travel and payment or made on another person's behalf.
3) Registered users are responsible for the security of their Username and Password, and TAXIS is in no way responsible for any expense or other liabilities occurring as a result of there disclosure, be it inadvertent or otherwise.
4) By clicking 'Pay Driver' on the relevant 'Confirm Payment' screens the Registered User authorizes TAXIS and/or any agent authorized by TAXIS to act on TAXIS behalf to debit their registered and nominated account the amount indicated, which shall be deemed as payment (either full or in part) for taxi travel as per the information recorded.
5) The amount payable shall include the metered taxi fare, tolls, and any extra charges, or any amount agreed between the Registered User and the taxi driver, to which in either circumstance shall be added the relevant credit surcharge as determined by TAXIS, and any applicable GST charges. Tips will be incorporated into the total amount payable and credited in total to the taxi driver's account, exclusive of any applicable credit surcharge.
6) Upon acceptance by TAXIS of the amount payable a tax invoice shall be sent to the nominated e-mail address or addresses of the Registered User. This shall constitute a receipt for the amount paid, and shall on behalf of the taxi driver be deemed payment, either in full or where applicable in part, of the relevant taxi fare .
7) Payment of any amount payable is subject to verification and approval. Should this for any reason whatsoever be unobtainable liability for the fare remains with the Registered User, who accepts full responsibility for providing payment by alternate means. This includes an acceptance of liability for any additional costs associated with arranging such payment.
8) TAXIS is neither a taxi network booking agency, nor a taxi despatch service. TAXIS provides a means by which a Registered User may advertise job offers to registered taxi drivers. Responsibility for such offers and the information contained therein rests with the advertiser, who assumes full liability for any offer made using their registered Username and Password.
9) TAXIS makes no representation whatsoever as to the acceptance or otherwise of such offers, and can in no way be held liable for anything arising as a result of any offer or other advertisement displayed.
10) TAXIS accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the services provided by the taxi driver or the standard and quality of the taxi-cab.
11) Failure by a Registered User or any person on whose behalf they may be acting to carry out any job advertised in their name through TAXIS without cancelling said job prior to its acceptance by a registered driver shall be deemed a 'No Show' and may incur a fee which shall be debited against any one of the User's registered accounts.
